Vivienne Glance has had full length and short plays produced in London England, Edinburgh, Scotland, Seattle, USA, Sydney and Perth by independent theatre companies. Some scripts are available from the Australian Plays:
Her play 'Shaking the Tree' was showcased at the International Playwriting Festival' in London. 'Moderns Gods' is a finalist in the Gold Dust competition and was produced at the London Theatre. Several more of her plays have won prizes or been short-listed in competitions in Australia and internationally. She has held several residencies including one at the Djerassi Resident Artists Program in 2015. She is very interested in various aspects of science and is currently writing a science-based play, 'Staring at the Sun'. Vivienne also works as a professional actor and theatre director, and is a published poet and short story writer, winning prizes and commendations for her work. As an act of cross-cultural dialogue, Vivienne has worked with Afeif Ismail for several years, co-transcreating his poems and plays from Arabic into English, including the acclaimed play 'The African Magician' (Barking Gecko TC). Her poetry collections 'A Simple Rain', was published by Lethologica Press in 2012 and 'The Softness of Water' was published by Sunline Press, in 2009.
