Playwright information

Jenny Marlowe is an actor and playwright from Cape Cod, Massachusetts, currently living in Los Angeles. She is a graduate of Princeton University (go Tigers!) and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, where she earned a Master's degree in Text & Performance Studies and a specialist certificate in Shakespeare. Jenny is a member of Native Voices at the Autry's resident ensemble and the all-Native American comedy troupe the Mayflower Welcoming Committee. She has appeared on stages all over the UK and the US -- most recently, Kansas City Rep, A Noise Within, the Autry, the La Jolla Playhouse, and Theatre Palisades (Best Supporting Actress, 2013). She also recently put in an appearance on ABC's smash hit 'Modern Family.' As a writer, Jenny is four-time winner of the Philadelphia Young Playwrights’ Festival. During her time in London, her solo show 'Words, Words, Words!' received an official selection from Glue's Scratch Interact Festival at the Southwark Playhouse, and went on to tour extensively around London. Most recently, her short play 'Hanging Up the Stars' was produced as a part of the Ensemble Theatre of Chattanooga's International Short Play Festival. She is currently hard at work on a trilogy of full-length, female-driven science plays, all based in Antarctica.
