Biography
JAMIE PACHINO is an award winning playwright and screenwriter with national and international credits. Her plays have been produced in four countries, commissioned, published and honored. She has been named the winner of the Kennedy Center Fund for New American Plays production grant, the Laurie Foundation’s Visionary Award, the Francesca Primus Prize, and Chicago’s Joseph Jefferson (“Jeff”) Award for Best New Work. Her plays have been developed and produced by such companies as Steppenwolf, American Conservatory Theatre, Hartford Stage, Long Wharf, Northlight, San Jose Rep, Pasadena Playhouse, and the Women Playwrights Festival in Athens, Greece, among others. Jamie’s film work includes features for Disney, DreamWorks, Vanguard Films and Walden Media, and her TV work includes teleplays for the Hallmark Hall of Fame and Lifetime Television and work on the series FAIRLY LEGAL (USA), RIZZOLI & ISLES (TNT) and FRANKLIN & BASH (TNT). She has taught at Northwestern University (her alma mater), Columbia College, and the University of California at Irvine. She is a proud member of the WGA. More at www.jamiepachino.com.
